In June 2019 we attended and had an information booth at PrideFest 2019 in Norfolk at Town Point Park. Thanks to our It Takes A Village volunteers, we were able to collect over 100 information cards for prospective foster parents, donors and volunteers. The support we received from this community was stupendous! We also had an information session at the LGTBQ Center to bring more awareness to new and prospective Foster Parents on how to join. It truly Takes A Village and we couldn’t have made this month such a success without our advocates and volunteers!
Our June Birthday Project items were packed and went out. Thank you so much for your donations and gifts – we appreciate you and all that you do. We can’t wait to get July Birthdays together!
July will be another EXCITING month! Our Annual Summer Camp partnership with YMCA of South Hampton Roads allows us to sponsor Summer Camps for Foster Children. Your generous support allows us to reunify separated siblings and provide enriching activities.
