Can you believe that April is almost over? We are well into the year already, which means there are exciting things happening at Tidewater Friends Of Foster Care.
Of course, our annual Foster Care Aware event is just around the corner, and we need your help in the months leading up to the big day. One way you can help is by getting involved or donating. Another is by helping us spread the word and reach even more people who may be interested in learning about becoming a foster parent or respire care provider. Follow Us On Social Media
Did you know that we post helpful foster parents resources, local events and important updates on our social media platforms? The fastest way to spread the word about our programs and Foster Care Aware is by sharing our Facebook, Twitter and Instagram accounts with others. You can “share” our posts on Facebook, invite friends and family to “like” our page, or simply send them the links to our pages. Be sure to share our Foster Care Aware Event on social media, too!
Bring A Friend
Attending new events alone can be intimidating, and it is always more comfortable to navigate new settings and information with someone by your side. If you have friends or family who have expressed interested in becoming a foster parent, invite them to attend Foster Care Aware! If you’ve been to this event in the past, you know that it is a fun, pressure-free way to connect with the community and hear from our foster care heroes.
Word-Of-Mouth
The easiest way to help spread the word requires no effort at all: just tell someone! Let them know what our organization is about – our mission, what we do to help foster care youth and parents and how they can get involved.
